A panel event to announce New York City CJA's new pretrial risk assessment instrument, which is used to evaluate alldefendants who are arrested and arraigned in New York City. Emphasis will be on the reforms done to the instrument, aswell as the impact the instrument will have as New York City winds down and begins the process of closing Rikers Island.
